Foie Battle Kickoff Dinner! (Downtown SJ)
The Silicon Valley Foie Battle kicks off April 1st!
Chefs from San Jose, Peninsula and San Francisco will be hosting foie gras dinners in undisclosed locations.
He calls it "Gansito" which means little goose in Spanish.

Terrine de Foie Gras served on a sourdough tostada with cranberry jam.
Seared Foie Gras with apple slices, mango chutney and agave nectarsauce.
Foie Gras Salad with garden greens, roasted pears, grilled Foie Gras, with light Tequila balsamic vinaigrette.
Grilled Sole, seared foie gras, boc choy with mole sauce.
Sweet Foie Gras in the form of a sweet petit four filled with Foie Gras butter cream, brie cheese and Oaxacan chocolate port.
Reservations are $90 (tax and tip inclusive) but bring cash for drinks/pairings.
These intimate foie dinners will revolve through the month, each week with a different chef from your local restaurants.
Dishcrawlers will rate each dish, and at the end of the month, the chef with the best foie dish will be announced.
Protestors, 5% of the proceeds will go to CHEFS, the Coalition for Humane and Ethical Farming. Please, let us enjoy our moments left alone with our soon to be banned deliciousness.
